Biography of Dianna Woodley, Founder of Angel Harps
In August of 2001, Dianna Woodley’s active life was drastically altered.
Suddenly, she was in constant pain and confined to a wheelchair.
Dianna’s story might have ended there but as she learned about harp therapy, her journey evolved into a cause.
By playing the harp daily, Dianna Woodley experienced total recovery and was inspired to help provide that same healing experience to disabled children.
So, in 2003 she established a non-profit organization called Angel Harps, whose mission is to distribute healing harps to children with disabilities.
To get the organization off the ground, Dianna navigated her wheelchair to over 200 homes in her neighborhood asking for donations. Amazingly, almost everyone gave something.
Today, daily miracles are part of Dianna Woodley’s life. Her goal is to take Angel Harps beyond San Diego into the rest of country.
“I started in my own back yard and really want to share these harps with special needs children everywhere.”
Dianna Woodley no longer uses a wheelchair and is living a fully active life again.
Today Woodley focuses on her dream of helping special needs children around the world live their lives to the fullest through the healing sounds of their very own, “Angel Harp.”
